Mornington-By-Mere – (58) Lily of the Vale

Quiet and shy 36 year old Holger Isaak lived and worked up at Mornington Field, which was once a fully operational RAF station, and he lived in Apartment 2 of Lancaster House, which had been converted from what was once the bases Officers Mess and he worked as an engineer for Topliss Engineering.

He was not a native of the small country village of Mornington-By-Mere or indeed the Finchbottom Vale which nestled comfortably between the Ancient Dancingdean Forest and the rolling Pepperstock Hills.

Holger was in fact German by birth, from the Neu-Isenburg, a town in the Offenbach district of Hesse, but he and his family moved to Downshire when he was still a baby and he lived in Purplemere for 35 years.

However on first seeing the quaint picturesque village, a proper chocolate box picturesque idyll, with a Manor House, 12th Century Church, a Coaching Inn, Windmills, an Old Forge, a Schoolhouse, a River and a Mere, he fell in love with the place, and on starting work for Topliss he fell in love with Lily Mumford.

On one Sunday afternoon he set off from his apartment on a bike ride to the Dulcets, it was only supposed to a quiet cycle in the country, a spot of fresh air and some exercise.

Just a relaxing cycle ride in the countryside was all he had in mind but he soon realised his trip to the Dulcets was ill advised when another rider over took him, but having passed him the other rider failed to leave him in their wake, they just kept pace with him and that was the problem, because the cyclist was a girl dressed in Lycra which fitted her like a second skin, taut and seamless and leaving every contour of her body revealed, each curve, peak and valley.
Every ridge and canyon of the girl’s voluptuous landscape was on show to him and when she stood up in the saddle her immodesty was shown in stark relief, and once seen it could not be unseen and from that moment on he could think of nothing else.

The effect on Holger was immediate and made it very difficult for him to pedal, as a result he slowed down a bit, but to his dismay as he slowed so did she, as if she was enjoying his discomfiture.

All he could do was try and distract himself, firstly by imagining his tormentor was a naked Ann Widdicombe, but that didn’t work so he tried the old favourite passion killer, English Test Cricket, he went through the mental list of the field positions, County Cricket grounds, and the full array of bowling actions he even listed the English team captains from 1960 to the present day but he still couldn’t get the image of the cyclist’s fit arse and camel toe from his mind and if anything it got worse.

So when they approached a layby he decided to stop and let her get ahead of him and also to get himself under control.

But no sooner had he come to a halt and dismounted than he noticed that the fit girl on the bike had turned around and was heading back towards him and the front view of her was just as revealing as the back.

When his eyes finally rose above the level of her obvious attributes he saw that they belonged to Lily Mumford, one of the young engineers at Topliss, who then pulled alongside him, and although he had loved her from the first moment he saw her he had never imagined for a moment that she looked that good out of her boiler suit.

“Hi Holger” she said “is everything ok?”

“Fine” he replied as she dismounted

“You don’t look fine” she pointed out “You look a bit hot and bothered”

“Well it’s a warm day” he said which made her smile

“I think it was the scenery” she said and kissed him and the kiss was as provocative as her outfit and left him breathless and wanting more, but there was no more as she got back on her bike and pedalled off leaving him speechless in her wake.

Lily Mumford was ten years younger than the object of her affections, quiet and shy Holger Isaak, she figured that age gap combined with his shyness was the reason he had not asked her out.

Despite her sending him all the signals that she was receptive to any advances he might make.

But her efforts were all to no avail which was why she had resorted to more direct action, because the one thing she knew for certain sure was that he wouldn’t make the first move.

She knew he liked her, so it was like pushing against an open door, but it was necessary for her to take the initiative, she also knew he liked to take a cycle ride out in the country on a Sunday afternoon so that was her chance to really catch his eye.

So she donned her most contour hugging and revealing Lycra cycling suit and prepared to strike.

Lily also lived up at the once fully operational RAF station, Mornington Field, and she lived in Apartment 4 of Dowding House, which had been converted from what was once the bases Sergeant’s  Mess which was the building next to Lancaster House where Holger Lived.

Dressed for action she kept watch from her apartment until she saw him pedal sedately past and then she went down stairs and set off in pursuit, she didn’t rush or race, she knew she would catch up with him easily enough and she was a very athletic girl.

When she caught up to him she followed on for a few minutes before she overtook him, but once she was in front she slowed down to make sure he got a good look at what was on offer and she kept that up for a couple of miles until they reached a layby in which he had decided to stop, but as soon as she realised he had come to a halt and dismounted she turned around and headed back towards him and she was delighted to see the effect she had had on him.

When she pulled alongside him she said

“Hi Holger, is everything ok?”

“Fine” he replied as she dismounted

“You don’t look fine” she pointed out “You look a bit hot and bothered”

“Well it’s a warm day” he said which made her smile

“I think it was the scenery” she said and kissed him

It was a loin tingling kiss and every iota as wonderful as she had imagined it so many times and it was with some reluctance that she got back on her bike at pedalled off leaving him speechless in her wake.

Lily was feeling very pleased with herself as she rode back to Mornington and she was satisfied with a job well done and was sure that an invitation from him to dinner or a movie was likely to come very soon but she was mistaken as nothing appeared to have changed between them at Topliss Engineering the next day or indeed the day after nor the day after that.

So when she drew a blank again on Thursday she put another plan into operation.

Lily’s plan to ensnare Holger involved her booking a day’s leave on Friday because she had plans for him at the weekend, although he wasn’t aware of the fact.

What she didn’t know however was when they would be meeting or what they would be doing, and that was proving to be very frustrating because the one thing she knew for certain sure was that he wouldn’t make the first move which was why she was having to take the initiative.

Lily was up early on Friday morning so she could make sure she was out of her building before Holger left his.

He left his apartment and walked towards Topliss and as he turned the corner and he saw Lily outside Dowding House, she smiled at him coyly and he tripped on the edge of a paving slab as he remembered her on the day of the bike ride and the kiss that followed.

Lily giggled, not because he tripped but because she knew by his expression what he was thinking about, which meant she was not barking up the wrong tree, of that she was sure and that made her very happy.

The other thing she was sure of was that she wouldn’t be wearing Lycra on their next meeting, it may have defined her every contour and clearly turned him on, but that wasn’t the purpose of the exercise, the reason was for him to take notice and she had achieved that goal.

And although she was a very athletic girl she wanted him to see that she was also a girl.

Of course he did know she was a girl after all the Lycra left very little to the imagination but it wasn’t really very feminine.

At working she always wore a boiler suit and invariably had a grubby face which was not particularly alluring.

Out in the street that morning she was in a top and jeans which was kind of feminine looking, but not girlie, so she looked at her watch, smiled and went back to her flat to get ready for the next phase of the operation which would happen at lunchtime.

Lily knew where he would be going at lunchtime, because he was a creature of habit, as he always went down to the Old Mill at lunchtime on Friday, where he ordered a sandwich and a non-alcoholic drink.

Lily was rather hoping for her to become one of his regular habits so she changed out of her jeans and top and after a pampering bath, she waxed oiled and powdered herself before slipping herself into a dress.

Lily then liberally applied her most expensive perfume and when she was confident she was as feminine and desirable as it was possible to be in the time available to her she hurried over to the pub.

Holger was sitting alone at a table in the beer garden and she watched the quiet shy man who was ten years older than she was, but that didn’t matter because she loved him, she had from the first moment she saw him when he first walked into the workshop.

“Hello Holger” she said

“Lily!”

“May I?” she asked indicating the seat beside him

“Please” he said and he could instantly picture her sitting there in her figure hugging Lycra outfit and he blushed when he smiled back.

“Would you like a drink?” he asked

“Diet coke please”

He returned a few minutes later and put the drink down in front of her

“Thanks Holger” she said “Did you enjoy the bike ride?”

“Yyyes” he replied

“Me too” Lily said “I’d like to do it again”
“I’ve got a puncture” Holger said
“I didn’t mean the bike ride” she retorted

“Oh” he exclaimed and then went quiet for a minute before adding

“How about now?”

Lily almost choked on her diet coke and then banged the glass down on the table.

“What now?” she said

“Yes” he replied and kissed her

It was an amazing kiss and it was even more of a loin tingling kiss than the previous one in the layby had been because he had kissed her, but frustratingly when it ended, however reluctantly, he had to leave to get back to work.

She did attempt to rescue the situation by walking back to Mornington Field with him but annoyingly she was highjacked by a group of friends and seperated from Holger as they dragged her into the pub.

Once she accepted the fact that she had lost her chance she decided to drown her sorrows, so by the time Lily left the pub it was three in the afternoon and she was quite merry.

Holger was gutted that Lily’s friends intervened after he had actually had the boldness to kiss her so he spent the afternoon musing over what he should do next and it was during those musings he was brought back to the moment by the persistent ringing of his mobile phone so he grumpily grabbed the phone.

“Hello” he said and then realised it was a text so he pressed accept for the message and was snapped out of his torpor by what he saw on the screen, it was a selfie from Lily wearing a black silk teddy, black silk panties trimmed in lace and black stockings and suspenders.
“Wow” he said and stared at the image open mouthed but he assumed the photo was intended to be a “Bad luck, here’s what you could have won” kind of thing.

When he put the phone down and closed his eyes he remembered the kiss and how wonderful it felt to hold her in his arms.

As he left the building the phone went again and his hand was shaking as he picked it up and when he viewed the text she was peeling a stocking off her left leg and almost immediately he received another one and she was peeling the stocking off the other one.

Holgers head was spinning as he opened his front door and stepped inside as he was at a complete loss what to make of the provocative texts, should he respond to them? How should he respond?

This was completely new territory for him he didn’t know what to do and then he received another selfie and this time she was minus the Teddy and lying face down on the bed.

“I really need to go and see her” Holger said “but I don’t know what I’m going to say though”

He put the phone down and got in the shower and when he got out he quickly dried himself and was partially dressed when his phone went again, it was another picture and this time she was completely naked as she lay on her bed so he quickly got dressed.

He was just slipping his coat on when the phone went again and his hand was shaking as he picked it up, what would the next picture reveal?

But Holger was rather disappointed to see it was just a text which he reluctantly opened, but when he read it his hand was shaking even more.

It read

“Come and get me”

IF EVER TWO SOULS

If ever two souls could become one entity

Then that pair would be you and I

And no woman would ever be more loved than you

If ever one entity were made from we two

Mornington-By-Mere – (57) Meeting Michelle

In the quaint chocolate box English Village of Mornington-By-Mere, which was the beating heart of the Finchbottom Vale, stood Mornington Manor which was the beating heart of the Mornington Estate.

The Finchbottom Vale nestled between the Ancient Dancingdean Forest and the rolling Pepperstock Hills and the village is quaint and picturesque, and is a proper chocolate box picturesque idyll, with a Manor House, 12th Century Church, a Coaching Inn, Windmills, an Old Forge, a Schoolhouse, a River and a Mere.

Mornington Manor is the residence of the St George Family, the guardians of the estate, and the head of the Estate and the family is Baron Gabriel St George, who lives at the Manor with his wife Chantel.

The village retained its old English quaintness and its heart and soul into the 21st Century simply because everything in the village is owned by the Mornington estate, and under their stewardship the village has remained traditionally English and has not been allowed to become a soulless haven for hooray Henrys and weekenders with their second homes and country getaways.

The St George family had been landowners in Downshire since the Norman Conquests and at one time their lands covered the whole of the Finchbottom Vale.

However in the 21st century the Estate was much reduced and only extended to a radius of between 11 and 12 miles from the Mornington Mere although they owned other land and properties all over Downshire which they had rescued from developers over the years.

And it was one such property that was the subject of a meeting at the Manor one Wednesday evening in May.

Thirty five year old Richard Stephenson was one of the attendees and he was one of “The” Stephenson’s who had supermarkets and convenience stores all over Downshire and he had worked his whole life for the family business and for the most part he loved what he did.

The only facet of his job he didn’t enjoy were the business dinners which were an inevitable part of his professional life, in fact he hated them, but sadly he knew they were a necessary evil so he had to endure them.

Not that he didn’t like restaurants or fine dining or indeed dining in general, the contrary was true.

Whether it was the more exclusive restaurants such as the

Worsted Viper and the Runcible Spoon in Purplemere, The Phoenix Restaurant in Shallowfield, The Diamond in the Rough in Sharpington, The Wooden Slipper in Abbottsford, The Leathern Bottle in Finchbottom or The Cloche Hat in the Dulcets.

The varied foreign cuisine served up by the Bengal Curry House in Shallowfield, the Scented Garden Chinese, Roberto’s Italian and the Beirut Lebanese in Abbottsford or the high standard of pub grub at hostelries such as Finchbottom’s White Horse Inn, The Huntsman’s Lodge and the Mallard in Childean, The Mulberry Tree at Brocklington, The Woodman’s Axe in Shallowfield and Mornington’s Old Mill Inn.

And it didn’t matter if it was one of his favourites or not, or if it had a good reputation, or if he thought it was just a trendy nouvelle cuisine restaurant serving high flavour, low substance dishes, with tiny artistic arrangements the size of an Hors d'oeuvre on a slab of welsh slate, or the sort of place where he was hungrier when it was time to leave than when he arrived, and he would need to go to a burger bar on the way home.

But despite his foodie loving appreciation of dining out he was still filled with the usual sense of dread when he was told there was another dinner meeting, but his fears were abated slightly when he found out that the dinner was at Mornington Manor.

Thirty five year old Richard Stephenson was one of the attendees of a dinner meeting at Mornington Manor and he was one of “The” Stephenson’s who had supermarkets and convenience stores all over Downshire.

Despite his foodie loving appreciation of dining out he was still filled with the usual sense of dread when he was told there was another dinner meeting, but his fears were abated slightly when he found out that the dinner was at Mornington Manor.

Apart from Richard Stephenson, one of his legal eagles, Leonard Wells, was also to be wined and dined by Baron Gabriel St George and his wife Chantel.

Also present were Estate solicitor Rizalina Pugay and the Estates financial manager Michelle Smith.

30 year old Michelle was one of the Smith clan who were tenants at Smithfield Farm and they had been there for as long as anyone could remember and everyone expected her to take her place on the land but she surprised everyone when she chose the route which led her to accountancy instead.

Michelle had been driven and focused from the moment she made the decision at the age of 13 that farming wasn’t for her and she had always behaved with the utmost professionalism in every meeting she had ever attended but the moment she first laid eyes on the tall blonde haired Richard Stephenson, her legs turned to jelly and every fact, figure and number left her head and she felt like she was 13 again.

And as it turned out the feeling was mutual because on that night Richard learned to truly appreciate an intimate dining experience, because shortly after the main course was cleared away he felt Michelle’s hand on his knee and by the time desert arrived at the table her hand was in his.

The quality of the company not withstanding and the meal definitely falling into the fine dining category, the finer details of the meeting went completely over his head as his attention was totally focused on the girl holding his hand.

He was a well-seasoned man of business and he had been attending important meetings since he was 19 but he had never had one of the other side hold his hand.

At first he wasn’t sure if this was some strange new negotiation technique, or a seductive ploy to distract him from his purpose, but in truth it wasn’t a cynical ploy at all it was love at first sight.

When he looked at her during coffee she was smiling smugly and as they said goodbye outside the Manor Richard said

“It was a very nice dinner”

“Yes, the food was exquisite” Michelle agreed

“I particularly enjoyed desert” he added

“Me too” she agreed and then they shook hands and he said quietly

“You have a very firm handshake”

“Thank you” she said

“But I preferred it when we were holding hands”

“Me too” he said “And I look forward to our next meeting with interest”

Richard Stephenson had been very much looking forward to meeting Michelle Smith again after she had lovingly held his hand under the table during the business dinner they were attending at Mornington Manor, but seeing her the second time was different and if anything it was even better because he knew her and the ice between them had already been broken, but he had absolutely no idea what show of affection, if any, she might reveal at the meeting, before, after or even during.

The second meeting was again at Mornington Manor but was to be more informal and was not scheduled to be over lunch or dinner and he didn’t have his legal eagle, Leonard Wells, in attendance.

However as he drove into the Manor Grounds an alarming thought crossed his mind, what if Michelle wasn’t going to be there.

He was surprised at exactly how much he wanted her to be there after all they had only held hands, it was all very juvenile really in the cold light of day, but the effect she had on him was palpable and in the two weeks since they last met he had thought of little else.

Michelle Smith had also thought about that evening constantly and she was utterly embarrassed at her behaviour, he was a very good looking man but even so she wasn’t a schoolgirl, she was 30 years old for goodness sake and she had worked very hard to get where she was and she now risked becoming a laughing stock because she went all gooey at the sight of a square jawed, blue eyed, muscular hunk.

In fact she was so embarrassed at the behaviour that she tried desperately to get out of the second meeting all to no avail and to add insult onto injury she found out that morning that it was to be a one to one meeting so she hoped and prayed that he would be sending one of his minions but as she approached the reception area her heart sank and soared simultaneously.

“Hello Richard” she said trying not to look into his crystal blue eyes as she shook his soft well-manicured hand

“It’s good to see you again”

“Yes I was just about to say the same thing” he retorted and smiled but Michelle was looking at the floor

“Do you want to follow me?” she asked in as much of a business-like manner as she could muster.

As she strode down the hall ahead of him her short red hair bounced about her neck and shoulders and danced softly there in time with her movement.

Just as she had been at the dinner she was immaculately dressed, this time in a fitted green silk blouse tucked into the waist of dark grey flared skirt, which complemented her slender frame perfectly, her narrow waist and the flaring of her skirt accentuating her hips.

Her fleshy buttocks contained within the tailored skirt were quite hypnotic and her shapely legs were sheathed in black.

She paused by an open door and bade him enter, which he did.

“It will just be the two of us today” she said as she indicated where she wanted him to sit.

“I’m afraid all the other room are occupied” she said “but this will serve our purpose”

It was a small informal meeting room with no meeting room table as such and half a dozen chairs around the outside and an occasional table in the middle.

Two of the walls were solid while the other two had windows in the top half, one of which looked out into the grounds and Manor Wood beyond while the other looked into a small open planned office in the room next door.

“I thought Gabriel would be in the meeting” he said as he was seated in the meeting room at the Mornington Manor

“No this is a one to one” Michelle said trying to remain aloof

“Oh I see” he responded

“And you really wouldn’t want his lordship doing this” she added and leant in close and kissed him.

“I really love business meetings with you” he said

Many more meeting followed between them, mainly over dinner in some of the finest restaurants in Downshire and none of them ever resulted in them discussing business but after about a month Michelle thought things had stalled so she decided to take decisive action and she put her plan into action at a fund raising dinner at the Worsted Viper Hotel in Purplemere.

She knew he was to be there and asked Gabriel St George if she could attend to represent the Mornington Estate, and he was delighted to give her the opportunity to spread her wings while getting himself off the hook at the same time.

When Richard saw her at the dinner he was over the moon and resolved immediately that he was going to make sure he stayed close to Michelle and take advantage of the chance meeting.

He sat next to her, expecting to find her hand on his knee, but it didn’t happen, he danced with her in the ballroom hoping she would kiss him but she didn’t, in fact there was no brush of the hand or a boob graze or even a knowing look.

Michelle pretty much ignored him entirely so he ended the evening in abject disappointment and meandered back to his room in a cloud of melancholy.

Richard got back to his room and raided the mini bar and then got himself ready for bed and he was just about to turn the light off when there was a knock at the door.

“What the fuck?” he snapped angrily and got out of bed, it seemed that not only had he had a disappointment in regard to Michelle but now he was apparently not going to get any sleep.

He put on his robe and went to the door muttering expletives under his breath and he was ready to launch a tirade of abuse at the intruder and he threw open the door and was struck dumb because standing on the threshold was Michelle Smith in her PJ’s, she would have preferred to have been stark naked for maximum effect but she wasn’t that brazen.

“Aren’t you going to invite me in?” she asked as he stood staring at her open mouthed.

“Oh yeah” he said and stepped aside to let her in and then he watched as she walked towards the bed and he thought she looked as perfect in pyjamas as she did in everything else.

“I thought you were ignoring me” he said as she walked towards him

“I was merely testing your mettle” she retorted

“Oh”

“Yes I wanted to make sure you wanted me as much as I want you” she replied and kissed him

“And what conclusion did you reach?” he asked and in response Michelle pushed him back onto the bed and said

“You’re mine”

Mornington-By-Mere – (56) Soldier Wood

There was a military funeral in the quaint chocolate box English Village of Mornington-By-Mere when the beating heart of the Finchbottom Vale fell silent with sombre respect.

The funeral was for Private Andy Smith of the Downshire Light Infantry who was killed by an IED in Afghanistan.

The funeral and the memorial service were both well attended as Andy was a popular lad in the village and everyone had a tale to tell about him.

The Smith clan were tenants at Smithfield Farm and had been for as long as anyone could remember and everyone expected Andy to take his place on the land but he surprised everyone when he chose the army instead.

David Cooper was also a local lad and he and Andy had been good friends since pre-school so his death had hit him particularly hard.

In fact he was finding the whole day a bit of an ordeal, so he was trying to slip away unnoticed from the church and had got as far as the carpark when a voice said

“As you were, Mr Cooper”

“I recognise that voice” he thought to himself so he stopped and slowly turned around.

“Sharon” he said, “I thought I recognised you earlier,”

Sharon Taylor was his ex-girlfriend and she was wearing the dress uniform of The Downshire Light Infantry and he hadn’t seen her since the previous November when she was posted to Afghanistan, she too was a local and was also a friend of Andy and they even joined up together.

Her insistence on joining the Army was what had broken her and David up, the fear of losing her in some stupid pointless foreign conflict was too much for him to bear.

But even though they were no longer a couple every time there was a news report about Afghanistan his blood ran cold, because he still loved her, but she was back and she was safe.

“When did you get back?” he asked and kissed her cheek

“A couple of days ago” she replied

“It’s great to see you back safe,” David said

There was an indeterminate period when they just stood looking at each other as they remembered the last time they were together and he wanted to say how much he had missed her and how much he wanted her back, but the words wouldn’t come.

There was a quiet cough from behind her and when she turned around she saw it was another soldier.

“I have to go” she said

“Ok, I…” He began

“I’m flag bearer at tonight’s church service at St Winifred’s, then I’m off duty,” Sharon said

“I’ll see you afterwards then?” he asked

She nodded and walked smartly away, and he thought to himself that although he was completely against her joining up she really did look great in the uniform.

He attended the service and then waited for Sharon outside the church hoping she wouldn’t change into civvies before she met him.

He was sure it wasn’t just a man thing, after all women go mad for firemen, so he knew it couldn’t just be him that thought birds in uniforms were Phwoah.

When she came out he kissed her cheek and they walked across to the Old Mill and he was pleased to note that Sharon was still wearing her dress uniform and she looked great in the tailored skirt and tunic, brass buttons and polished belt, peaked cap and seamed stockings.

But what made Sharon even sexier than the uniform was the fact that he knew what was underneath it and of course because he loved her desperately.

They walked into the pub and he ordered drinks and they sat in a quiet corner and she talked about her tour of duty, at least as much as she could, and he just listened while she unloaded, then of course they talked about Andy and they reminisced about all the time they had spent together and when they reached a natural conclusion and they both fell silent he asked.

“How long are you home for?”

“Until Tuesday” she replied and his heart sank

David and Sharon had already had a couple of drinks in the Old Mill Inn when he suggested another, but she declined.

“I’ll walk you home then” David said

“Ok” she replied

He offered to walk her home out of gallantry but in truth she could have defended herself better than he could, her body being solid, firm and muscular.

David lived in The Close only about 100 hundred yards from the pub whereas as Sharon lived on the opposite side of the village on the other side of Manor Wood where there were a number of cottages and small houses on the Purplemere Road and Dulcets Road which formed the part of Mornington Village known as Manorside and the Taylor family lived in Dulcets Road in a house called Green Fields.

They left the pub and crossed over Church Bridge and proceeded along the riverside path on the Southern Bank of the River Brooke with Mornington Field across the water on their right and Manor Wood on the left.

About half a mile along the path she suddenly turned left into the wood

“This way” she said “it’s a short cut”

“Is it?” he replied doubtfully “I don’t think it is”

“Trust me I’m a soldier” she said and marched off at pace and by the time he caught up with her she was playing on a makeshift swing hanging from the bough of an oak tree, which was in essence a heavy duty piece of rope with a series of knots in it.

“Oh very grown up” he said as she propelled herself with great aplomb.

“You’re just jealous” she taunted him, so he just stood and watched her swing until she allowed her momentum to slow and then she leant back and with great athleticism swung her legs up and hooked her ankles around the rope like a trapeze artist.

This caused her skirt to fall away from her thighs so he walked towards her until he was positioned beside her as she swung gently back and forth.

But although David had a tantalising view of her underclothes he brought her momentum to a stop by grabbing her ankles and then he knelt down on the floor so they were face to face and then he kissed her.

“I knew you still wanted me” she said, “And I’m pleased to say I was right”

Sharon raised herself up as she unfurled her legs from the rope and as soon as she stood up straight she wrapped her arms around his neck and kissed him.

After they kissed in the Wood they emerged back onto the path holding hands and they resumed their previous course past the Mornington Brewery and immediately before the river changed direction, where Dulcets Mill stood, which was one of the last three remaining Mornington Mills, they left the river.

It was at the point where the River Brooke turned sharply to the right,  and they followed the path past the mill which lead to Dulcets Mill Lane, then into Purplemere Road and on the Dulcets Road and finally to Green Fields where they kissed again.

“Does this mean we’re back on?” she asked

“If you’ll have me” he suggested, having lost his friend Andy he was still worried what would happen to her on deployments but the shock of losing his friend also highlighted how short life was and how precious time was and that it shouldn’t be wasted on “what might be”

“I’ll think about it” she replied

“Oh” he said

“I’ve thought about it” she said and Sharon kissed him again

“Of course I’ll have you back, I never wanted it any other way, I never wanted us to break up” she said “and I’ve never stopped loving you”

KIWI GIRL

She was a tiny little thing

Barely five-foot, Pint size

But larger than life

With huge grey eyes

Her first words were

I’m not an Aussie

I’m from New Zealand

And I’m a Kiwi

Christened Katherine

She preferred Kitty

At first glance

I thought she was pretty

Perhaps not beautiful

Well not obviously so

But certainly pretty

But not to the shallow

She was not compelled

By fashion or fad

In her cargo pants

And shirt of plaid

Her stocking feet

Made little sound

As on fairy steps

She flitted around

She had a delicious chuckle

Rich and fruity

When she laughed

Was when I saw beauty

A smile lit up her face

And her big eyes

Transformed her

From pupae to butterfly

Her laughing eyes

Glanced aside

And she was caught

Her look was spied

Her pale skin

As she blushed

Turns to crimson

And away she rushed

Though she dressed

Not to impress

She had a figure

Hidden, nonetheless

My eyes followed her

Though no others did

My pretty Kitty

Mornington-By-Mere – (55) Fraternal Flirtations

Mornington-By-Mere was not just a quaint chocolate box English Village it was the beating heart of the Finchbottom Vale and there were a number of cottages and small houses on the Purplemere road and Dulcets Lane which formed the part of Mornington Village known as Manorside and the Walker family lived at number 4 Dulcet Mill Lane.

It was the house that 38 year old Angela was born in, which she now shared with her Purplemere born husband Norman and 19 year old daughter Andrea, and to the casual observer they were a happy family but all was not as it seems.

Norman was a successful Architect, in fact he was too successful, and that success kept him away from home more and more and as a result Angela was terribly lonely.

She had her daughter Andrea who she loved very much but she was overly protective to her because she was painfully shy.

Thankfully Angela had Dennis for support.

Dennis Thorpe was Norman Walker’s half-brother and he was a very gifted craftsman who among other things was a Model Engine Maker, as well as making rolling stock, buildings and infrastructure and had his own company in Purplemere called Railway Enthusiast.

But when the Mornington Estate exercised its option to purchase Mornington Field from the MOD it also acquired all the buildings and infrastructure on the airfield itself as well as 29 houses in the village formally used as quarters for military personnel.

Plans were immediately drawn up to optimize the newly acquired assets the moment the property was formally handed over on the 1st of June 2014.

The St George family were the guardians of the Mornington Estate, and the head of the family is Baron Gabriel St George, and his architect friend Scott Collier was tasked with designing appropriate conversions to maximize the potential returns and enhance the benefits to the village with new commercial premises that were set to open on Mornington Field in the following January and Railway Enthusiast moved to Block A on Mornington Field April 11th 2015.

At the same time Dennis moved into apartment 4 of Lancaster House, which was converted from the old Officers Mess and once he was living there he was on hand to give his sister in law Angela some support while at the same time alleviating her loneliness.

Norman Walker was almost 40 while half-brother Dennis was 2 years younger, the same age as Norman’s wife Angela.

There were two problems with the Walker family dynamic, firstly Norman was always away from home and the second was that Dennis fancied the pants off his half-brother’s neglected wife.

After he moved to the village Dennis often popped round to the Walker’s, evenings, weekends or on his days off, and at Norman’s request he was expected to go round when he was away to give Angela some company.

He looked forward to the time he spent in Manorside and she came to count the minutes until she saw him again.

However nothing ever happened between them other than mutual admiration, but it was only a matter of time before that changed.

Dennis had been living and working in Mornington for over a year when that time materialised.

It was a glorious Saturday in June when Dennis Thorpe left his Apartment in Lancaster House, and it was just after 1.00pm by the time he got to his half-brother Norman’s house in Dulcet Mill Lane, it was only a short stroll as he only lived a stone’s throw away.

He got to the house just after lunch and he was fully expecting Norman to be there as it was a Saturday, but on his arrival he was told he had been called to a meeting in Sharpington and as their daughter Andrea was round at a friend’s house it was to be him and Angela for lunch.

Angela looked gorgeous in a yellow summer dress, he had always admired her figure, especially when she was wearing a dress, he found it hard to believe that she’d given birth with such a slim figure and he had always thought her legs were stunning.

“Do you want a beer?” she asked

“Yes please” he replied

He perhaps shouldn’t have had one as he hadn’t eaten since 9 o’clock the night before but it was a hot day and he was thirsty and he had another two before she brought him out a sandwich, so understandably he was a little light headed.

Angela also had a sandwich accompanied by a large glass of wine which she had just refilled.

The resulting light headedness he felt was probably why he allowed his desire for his sister in law to escape from the bottle, as he began flirting with her in the bright June sunshine and Angela played along and flirted back because she was on her third glass of wine.

So he flirted even more and she responded in kind but neither of them expected things to go to another level entirely and nobody was more surprised than Dennis was when he found himself kissing her and she was responding with vigour, in fact all at once Angela was all over him and he needed no encouragement whatsoever to join in and due to them both drinking too much on an empty stomach the kissing turned to fumbling and the fumbling to petting with the end result being that they made love al fresco in the secluded garden.

After making love on the lawn they stayed entwined for about a minute panting hard and then she said.

“I’ve waited 8 years for that”

“Was it worth waiting for?” he asked as he rolled onto his back

“Oh yes, very definitely” she cooed as she put her head on his chest

After the remarkable June afternoon when Dennis Thorpe made love to his half-brothers wife Angela, for the first time, al fresco in their secluded garden, Angela had avoided him.

She had blanked him in the street and made excuses to break longstanding arrangements, and ignored his calls and texts, so when he spotted her one Saturday, two weeks after they made love, when she was walking towards the shops, so he followed her, and when she came to a halt by the church bridge he approached her on her blindside so she couldn’t run off and when he was a few feet away he said

“There you are, I thought you were avoiding me”

Angela jumped and immediately became flustered

“No not at all” she corrected him

“I think you have,” he corrected her

“I haven’t been avoiding you exactly but I thought we needed some distance” She explained “I feel guilty for what we did”

“You don’t need to feel guilty Angela, I seduced you remember” he said

“I don’t feel guilty because it happened” She said “I wanted you, I had wanted you for 8 years, I dreamed of that moment”

“Then why?” he asked

“Because I’m a wife and a mother” she replied and then added almost as an after thought

“And I love my husband, so it can never happen again”

He thought she may have loved Norman once but he doubted that was the case at that moment in time.

Norman was often away on business and when he wasn’t he was in the pub.

Dennis knew that Angela was lonely which to his mind she didn’t deserve.

She tried to move away but he put his hand on her shoulder, preventing her and said.

“Please don’t avoid me Angela, seeing you is important to me, don’t deny me that”

“I won’t” she said, “I promise, but I still feel guilty, so I meant what I said, it can’t happen again”

“That just makes me want you even more” he retorted as he watched her walk away and as he walked home he wasn’t very confident he would pleasure her again, but he was wrong and he would have been surprised just how soon he was proven wrong.

It was the next day and he had been to Church at St Winifred’s and he had only been back in his apartment for ten minutes when she knocked on his door.

“Hello” he said

“Hi” Angela responded “Can I come in?”

“Of course” he replied and stepped aside so she could enter then he just stood looking at her and smiling

“What’s the matter?” she asked

“You’re wearing the yellow dress” he said

“I know” she remarked and blushed, as she knew he was remembering the time in her secluded garden when she last wore it, so she slipped off the dress and let it fall to the floor.

He instantly appraised the beautiful woman he loved standing before him semi naked.

“Wow” he exclaimed and then she suddenly became self-conscious under his gaze and threw herself into him, and her mouth sought out his and found it.

“Make love to me like before,” she implored him “make every fibre of my body tingle”

“Are you sure?” he asked between kisses “I thought you felt guilty”

“Well I did” Angela replied and wrapped herself around him

“What about you being a wife and mother” he said “and you said you loved your husband”

“I did love him until I found out he’s been having an affair with some tart in Sharpington for the last five years” she retorted

“Oh, well in that case come with me” Dennis said and led her by the hand to his bedroom.
