BROKEN

Broken arrow
Broken lance
Broken treaty
Wasted chance

Broken thought
Broken thread
Broken silence
Too much said

Broken vow
Broken chain
Broken promise
Alone again

Broken wing
Broken spirit
Broken heart
We wasted it

Broken wing
Broken mirror
Broken glass
I so miss her

UNWELCOME NEWS

At once she understood

When she heard the words

Their meaning clear

And in that instant

Her voice broke

And then in her throat

A lump formed

Behind her eyes

She felt the stinging

And a tear formed

Then rolled down her cheek

Followed by another

Then another

The salt taste was in her mouth

Her shoulders shook

Uncontrollably

And her mouth opened wide

But know sound escaped

Tears continued down her cheeks

And her nose

Then her legs buckled

And she fell to her knees

In total despair

Now the sound came

Uncontrollable

With her love lost

Her heart was broken

With her love betrayed

Her heart was discarded

But with all the weeping

She knew inside

That all her tears

Would never extinguish her love

TOUGH LOVE

If you fall in love

And get your fingers burnt

If you give all of yourself

And end up broken hearted

Don’t withdraw from life

Get back in the saddle

Dip your toe once more into the mire

Don’t deny yourself the chance

To swim again in an ocean of desire

You must be immersed

In an ocean of emotional tempest

To feel alive, to be alive

You must take off your vest

Before May is out

Take a risk, take a gamble

If you don’t buy a ticket

You can never win the jackpot

It’s better to open up to danger

Take the knocks and live

LOVES EXQUISITE ACHE

Oh, to feel loves exquisite ache

That desperate longing

That naked want

Feeling so alive in the torment

While craving the fix

Of that heady foaming brew

To quench the thirst of desire

And when that significant soul

Who holds my captive heart

Is but a kiss away

I am dragged from sorrows

Unfathomable depths

And bitter anguish evaporates

Like dew in the morning sun

And euphoria fills every pore

And in that perfect ecstasy

That blissful state of love

I remain until I am again alone

JUST SAY

You can write it in a letter

In flowery words

On sweetly perfumed paper

And seal it with a loving kiss

You can write it in smoke

Across the clear blue sky

You can use dots and dashes

Like the old Morse code

Just say you love me

You can sing it in a song

Like a nightclub crooner

Honey covered words

Set to the music of love

You can beat it out in rhythm

On a set of bongo drums

Emblazon it on a banner

Trailing behind a biplane

Just say you love me

You can say it on the telephone

In dulcet tones

Your voice soft and sweet

To match the words of love

Say it in electric letters

On the side of an airship

Display it on a big screen

Before the match kicks off

Just say you love me

You can say it in dance

In the ballet tradition

With grace and poise

Moving like Darcy Bussle

You can send a signal in smoke

Like a Native American

You can say it in an Email

Just one line will do

You can say it in a Text

I luv u or u r m9

Just say you love me

IF I

If I were inside your head

What would I see?

Through your blue grey eyes

How would I view me?

If I were in your heart

What would I feel?

Would it beat a little faster?

When I see me?

If I was in your skin

When we made love

Would I feel electricity?

When I touch you

If I were inside your head

What would I think?

Would I know I was the one?

When I look at me?

If I were in your heart

Would it be full?

Or have an empty space

For the one you seek

If I were in your mind

Would I feel content?

Would I see someone special?

When I look at me?

If I spoke to me

With your mouth and lips

And I said I love you

Would it be the truth?

The Clerembeax Palace Hotel and Spa – Tea for Two

The beautiful Downshire village of Clerembeax St Giles was situated to the west of Abbeyvale located between Grace Hill and Bushy Down and on the outskirts was the Clerembeax Palace Hotel and Spa and one of the rooms was occupied by Roger and Emma Fields, who were there to celebrate their fifth wedding anniversary.

On Sunday morning, after a night of overindulgence, they slept late though Roger was up early and showered first leaving Emma sleeping.

As he showered he reflected on the significance of the weekend, and how lucky he was to have her in his life.

They had been together since college and she was his world, and he loved her so much.

He got out of the shower and hastily dried himself and was just about to open the bathroom door and tell her how much he loved her when the door burst open and Emma rushed in

“Morning Darling” she said and kissed him

“Hi Babe” he replied and then she bustled him out of the door and closed it behind him, and he smiled, then he finished drying himself off and with the towel wrapped around his waist, he sat on the bed

When she finally appeared pink and pristine from the bathroom wrapped in towels she said

“Morning Darling” and kissed him and then she kissed him some more, and it was clear that she had a particular kind of good morning in mind.

She had been a virgin when they first got together, but that had been ten years earlier and there was nothing innocent about her anymore, he had clearly created a monster, a cute nubile monster, but a monster nonetheless who extracted every ounce of pleasure from him in the course of her lust-fuelled morning assault on him.

After which he dozed off, and when he awoke he found Emma sitting in bed next to him drinking the last dregs of a cup of tea,

“Ahh” she exclaimed “You can’t beat a nice cup of tea to start the day”
